Many tourists use us as a Operations Base for visiting the southeast side of the island.

Here is a compendia of the most commonly visited sites of interest our guests go to from here and that you might want to consider during your stay with us:

  • El Yunque National Rain Forest
    • You should inlcude this on your trip
    • This is one of the very few Tropical Rain Forests on the world and probably the one easiest for you to visit
    • It is running for one of the Natural Seven Wonders of the World
    • Great for plain sight-seeing or hiking (in the hiking case come ready to get soaked
  • Vieques and Culebra islands
    • Small sister islands on an 1 hour ferry ride away
    • Pristine virgin beaches catalogued as the some of the bests in the world
  • Serralles Castle/Museum
    • Learn how the famous Puerto Rican rum  started on the island as you visit the glorious castle of the owners that started it all
    • Guided tours, exhibitions and a nice shop are part of the experience
  • La Cruceta del Vigía (Watchman's Cross)
    • Right across the Serralles Castle/Museum
    • 4 stories high concrete cross on top of a hill overlooking the Ponce city
    • A panoramic elevator will take you to the crosse's arms where trough glass windows you see the whole city below up to the sea
  • Old Firehouse
    • An 1883 Fire Station completely restored
    • Take your picture next to century old fire trucks
  • Maunabo Lighthouse
    • An old restored light house converted into a museum of coasts safekeeping
  • Patillas Fishing Village
    • Picturesque local fishing village where the catch of the day can be bought
    • A completely calm sea (great for skiing or jet-skis) and typical "kiosks" complete the picture
  • Ponce Museum of Art
    • First renowned Art Museum in Puerto Rico
    • Recently renovated (2010)
    • Established by a former Puerto Rico governor (Luís A. Ferré)
  • Typical "Roasted Pork" Restaurants
    • A typical puertorrican gastronomic adventure
    • Full porks are placed on a big wooden skewer and slow roasted/rotated over smoking wood
    • See it cooked and served right in front of you
