Modern Zen Moscow Apartment With The Indoor Garden

Conventional Japanese interiors and natural landscapes influenced the design of this apartment in Moscow, which was recently renovated by local studio M17. One of those points of interest from the design is a 19 metre long polygonal wall made of wood veneer panels. The wall's faceted appearance is intended to depict rough rock mountains. It runs along the entire length of their flat, concealing the major entrance, utility rooms, cupboard and wardrobe from view. The middle area of the home functions as a large open space, adapting a relaxation and dining area. Even a little indoor garden separates the bedroom and bath in the tropical area. Walls inside both of these spaces were covered in wooden boards inspired by traditional Western home. To the right of the garden, partition walls were substituted with opaque sliding panels that start to reveal that a tea ceremony room.
