Original and attractive, the Cotesbach Road house was built to accommodate the demands of a new family. Scenario Architecture reorganized the layout with the home in London, turning it into an engaging modern retreat. By opening the internal structure while keeping the use of the previously separated areas, the house instantly feels more spacious and welcoming. There is a leak from front to rear, continuing out to the garden, inspite of the north facing back altitude, smart placement of windows lets natural light into the kitchen. The living areas include a variety of textures, for example wood and concrete floors, steel window frames, vulnerable logs and brick. Section of the floor has been lowered, altering the perception of space.
